Mobile gaming is the future of gaming. It’s by far the most prolific and intuitive gaming platform available. Despite its potential, mobile gaming is often misused by developers. But it doesn’t have to be. Below is a brief list of some of my most favorite mobile games. These are going to be less well known offerings that I feel highlight the strengths of the platform.

Over the past week I’ve been messing around with PuzzleScript, developing my own little game. And now, its finished! Check it out here: Escape The Dark. In this game you are a little green person trying to escape a cave. Push around rocks, and avoid pits, to reach the light at the end of the tunnel.

This is my personal ranking for each piece in standard Tetris. My rankings are based on how each piece contributes to the Tetris ecosystem, not just how useful it is. So read ahead, the rankings may surprise you.
Mobile games tend to get a bad rap. This reputation is well earned, considering the large amounts of low effort shovel-ware and pay-to-win fiascos that populate app stores. But there are some gems buried within the mobile games wasteland. My goal is to highlight one great mobile game each month, this month its Mini Metro.
